It WAS a noisy new year, however this was also accompanied by some gang violence two houses away from the venue. Shot were overheard; several kids got injured and one died. It turned into a rose bowl parade of cops as a result. Fortunately they arrested the bastards, which is little solace to the dead girl or her family or friends. Whole damn block was taped down for hours. We found some near-misses in the upstairs windows, too: two ricochet marks where bullets had bounced.
